Ajax calls not working in IE8

I'm working on making a survey app that is supposed to save answers automatically using an onChange() event. Although i'm seeing it working perfectly on all the browsers I commonly test in, the application is not saving any responses nor is any other ajax based functionality working in IE8. 

Is there an elegant work around for this? Is this a known issue? Using platform version 9.0.019

Hi Shikhar,

Can you check the browser console for javascript errors (F12)

Or link or post an example page that has the problem.
