Application Pool shutdown due to IIS Protocol Adapter Availability (Technet ID 5138)
Question
Hi everyone,
I´ve been detecting frequent application pool shutdowns in our development server. According to Event Viewer logs, this was caused by
a series of failures in the process(es) serving that application pool.
Much like the reported warnings posted in topic
Application Pool disabled automatically
we also detected the following error:
A worker process 'XXX' serving application pool 'YYY' failed to stop a listener channel for protocol '
http
' in the allotted time. The data field contains the error number.
Following up on the data field, Microsoft´s Technet article
Event ID 5138 — IIS Protocol Adapter Availability
doesn´t suggest any other approach than simply
restarting the application pool.
This obviously isn´t a final solution... anyone with previous experience (or ideas) on this matter?
Thank you!
