Display / Push an alert to a specific user
Question
Good day.

I would like to Display / Push an alert to a specific user while they are logged in, instead of depending on them to merely see the action by navigating to a specific area. Just a popup window with text and buttons would do at this stage.

This all happens in the same application a.t.m.

In a similar fashion, we would like to implement an in-app chat feature, which I take would be based on the same technology?

I don't see any reason why these two functions should be related but I don't know your application.  For the alert, check out the Taskbox Plus component in the Forge or use the built-in taskbox, part of the BPT functionality (search help for BPT for more info).  For chat, look at the Chat component in the Forge.
