Icon not displaying in email (RichWidgets\Icon)

I am using the RichWidgets\Icon web block in a couple of emails.

However, when viewing the emails in a web-mail (browser) the icon is not displayed.

When viewing the email in Outlook, I get an "NA" instead of the icon.

How do I use the Icon web block in emails?

I've attached a screenshot of the BROWSER and OUTLOOK experience and circled the error in red pencil.

Thanks!

Did you try using actual JPG icons rather than HTML based icons (rich widget icons) ?

Hi,

How do I get the JPG icons for rich widget icons?

Thanks,

Hi Bruce,

For the most part, the font awesome icons won't render in email clients as a web font. If you want the icons to show reliably, you will need to do as Ravi said and save the icons as images and insert them into your HTML template.

Let me know if you have any trouble,

Justin

The icons are from Font Awesome (an earlier version I believe, version 4.x.x). You could download the icons from version 5 as an SVG, though I think they're slightly different.
