If the OutSystems platform has an "Invalid Login" exception, why does the "Users" built-in application raises an User Exception instead?

The short answer is that it is not possible to raise an Invalid Login exception, as can be seen in the selection pop-up when selecting an exception to raise:

As to why this is, and when the system actually raises an Invalid Login exception I don't know (but I'll ask around).


Yes, like Killian mentioned is a current limitation due to the "Users" module not being able to raise that System Exception.

In version 10 those roles "Security Exceptions" that are shown on the screenshot were added to list of exceptions that can raised. Unfortunately the "Invalid Login" was not added yet and that is a change that needs to be done on a major version for compatibility purposes.

I'll forward this thread to the responsible team to guarantee that it's on their roadmap.
