Is it possible to use iOS's Significant-Change Location Service

Hi,

Is there a way to integrate iOS Significant-Change Location Service (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/corelocation/getting_the_user_s_location/using_the_significant_change_location_service) on  Mobile App ?

Thank you.

Err, isn't that simply, when in the background you will update the locations but much less often?

(and isn't that  already in place with the cordova-plugin? )

The idea behind this service is that your app can be completely closed (not background activity) and the OS is waking app (launches it) in the background when user location is changed more then 500 meters. So for example I can receive a notification when user is at the certain location area even if the app is not launched at all at the moment.

Solution

The Geofence plugin seems to do the work https://www.outsystems.com/forge/1844/ . Only problem that current version for iOS is Swift 2.3 and is incompatible with some other plugins that are using Swift 3.
