Hello MO,

This dependes on your external database,
 

• if the database already has an API defined you can consuming for example via REST API;
• if you have access to the server you can go to servicecenter ->Administration->databaseconnection->New Database Connection and create a connection to your external database;
• if it is an outsystems cloud environment, you can expose a REST API with 2 methods and consume it for creating and geting the files:
  1. One method that receives the file, creates it in you OS server and then returns the record id of the file uploaded to your mobile app;
  2. The other method would receive an id (the one you got from the first rest) and would search for the file with that id and return it;

Hi, you can use File Transfer plugin on Forge.

Using that plugin, you can even transfer file directly to Amazon S3.
