Regarding SOAP issue for SSL/TLS connection

Regarding SOAP issue for SSL/TLS connection

I am facing issue for consuming SOAP api and it is giving error like

The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.

We checked for the version compatibility and it is supporting but still getting the error.

My backend team tried from .NET side and we are facing issue like

Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.CommunicationException: An error occurred while receiving the HTTP response to https://supportdev.abc.coClick or tap if you trust this link.">https://supportdev.abc.com/arsys/services/ARService?server=itsmdev&webService=SE_Rudy_KSR_WS. This could be due to the service endpoint binding not using the HTTP protocol. This could also be due to an HTTP request context being aborted by the server (possibly due to the service shutting down).

Please help me in this

Hi Avala,

When calling a SOAP (or REST) service over HTTPS, both you and the other party need to have valid certificates, and use the same protocol. The very generic "Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel" means that no secure connection could be made, and it can be because of quite a number of reasons. You should check whether the other party has a valid certificate for the URL you are using, and whether they use the same protocol (e.g. TLS 1.2) and the same cipher suites.

Hi Avala,

Seems like you have some issue with SSL/TLS in your server.
You will need a Valid Certificate and HTTPS Connection to resolve this issue.
