The default date format shows as YYYY-MM-DD. Any way to change it DD-MM-YYYY throughout the environment ?

Solution

You can change it in the environmental configuration!

Solution

Anyway to use the users default date format, based on Device settings?

If with device, you mean a mobile device then check out the following component:

Main focus at the moment is Web apps.
So device could be PC, (Windows based, or Apple), perhaps a tablet  (IOS or android??) - usually a Windows based PC.
Interested in options to dynamically display dates etc in correct format for the logged in user, based on their regional settings...  (Understand if these regional settings is something that might need to be pulled back into outsystems app, perhaps in a preferences tab.. - but surely we need to handle user specific Date formatting etc??)
User should also be able to enter dates etc in format that is correct for them..
I'm from an ERP system background where such functionality was automatic, and the developer did not have to spend much time on this.

The Globalisation plugin reads like it does exactly what you would expect.
Is same/similar thing available for Web apps??
