Hi guys,
I wonder if anyone had attended a bootcamp for Web App Development track, so I need to ask if it worth or not, because I already took the online guide path, but I think it's not really enough and foe the bootcamp if it's the same material and same assignments, it won't be really beneficial, so if anyone attended a bootcamp before, would be great if you can share your experience wit us.
Thanks
I personally don't have any experience with it, however I've heard of people doing a bootcamp to prepare for the professional exam. The ones that did the bootcamp had a higher success percentage compared to people that didn't do the bootcamp.
This was for professional though, for associate I wouldn't recommend it, the course material provided is more than enough to get started.
Hi,
From my experience and from my team the guided path is enough for most of the people. Only rare cases people aren't able to pass it after going through it. Of course you need to go through it as many times needed till you understand everything you are doing. But as Joey mention people that have the opportunity of going to a bootcamp will always be better prepared.
This said I think the guided path is enough special the one created for Outsystems 11. This guided path is a lot more complete than the previous ones. Because beside Outsystems it teach you some web development concepts that I think are crucial for any developer.

Marcelo
Hello Mohamed,
My thoughts, if you are someone who is comfortable doing online courses and able to grasp concepts and figure out things on your own from webinars, guided paths and forums then its definitely enough. The courses are quite comprehensive.
However if you are class room person where you are more at ease with a guide/ mentor to help you with the basics and walk you thru the course, clarify your queries etc then a boot camp will be of immense help. Usually the bootcamp is one week of intensive training and they recommend to give the exam soon after that. (Lot of motivation, sharing of real life examples, Dos & Donts, discussions, best practices etc are also shared )
I attended a mobile bootcamp and it did get me started real quick on the track.
However when I was giving my Professional Web Developer, I did not attend any bootcamp and learnt things on my own and from the forums and guided paths.
To summarise if you have been using the platform for some time and are quite comfortable using it and have a good understanding of the concepts then, you may not need it.
However of a lighter note, if your company is sponsoring you for this, then definitely you should go for it and I'm sure you will get back wiser.

Amal
Hi Mohamed Emam,
Classroom materials (presentations, exercises, projects) for OutSystems Web Apps Boot Camp are (as of now) the same as for the online training.
Just so it's clear, I have a vested interest in people taking the classroom training, as we are one of OutSystems Global Training Partners.
With that warning aside, I'd always advise people to go through classroom training if they can spare the time and money. Like Amal mentioned, there's a lot more shared during a classroom training than what's on the video presentations, you'll likely have examples suited to your own real life experience and that can be better targeted at what will be your expected own usage scenarios, troubleshooting, productivity hints that save you a lot of time, extra topics mentioned/covered because they made sense in the context of the discussion (experience may vary depending on the trainer and the audience of course). It's also a great place to get initial feedback on what you often are already trying to do with OutSystems before training started, with advice on what to further explore, guidance on where to get more information on topics that are relevant for your goals but aren't part of the training goals, etc.
That being said, it's equally possible to be successful with just the online training, but it does require you to be a lot more comfortable with web development (you don't have someone supporting and guiding you), have the ability to focus on training and not get distracted by everything happening around you, and be able to allocate enough time to follow through with the entire training.
