We have built a new web block and it is giving this error when we try to load the webscreen with the new web block. "error CS1010: Newline in constant"
Any ideas why this happens? Thanks.

Could you provide us more details about the error (like Service Center message) and what contain in this web block?
Is your environment .NET? If so, you could also take a look on this link, that explains about this error in C#.

we have rebuilt again the web block and the error has disappeared... very odd!
