Hi,

I was advised that out of the box AD integration was only available for on premise installs, does this component allow us to have AD integration while  having a cloud installation?

Hello Neil,

For customers that are on OutSystems PaaS cloud, it's not possible to integrate with AD, with the platform component or this one, due to the fact that we're not able to have the OutSystems Server in AWS being part of the same corporate Domain on their infrastructure.


However, for customers that are using on their own Private Cloud (AWS, Azure or others...) as long as the OutSystems servers are within the same AD corporate domain, you should be able to use this component without any problems.

Thanks for the clarification


To overcome the limitations of the corporate domain and the OutSystems Cloud you can use LDAP but it will require customizing the plugin to change from AD Integration to LDAP Integration.  It is already available on the Authentication Extension but not on this component:
