Hi,

I'm working on a project where the architect of it is to build a middleware for integrations, is there anything in OutSystems supports that? or I have to use this as a best practice or does OutSystems handle integration architecture by any chance?

Hi Abeer,

I recommend that you watch the videos available in the Learn.

After that, you will see that everything will be clearer.

Thanks for your reply I kind of need to know best practice when it comes to use a middleware as I already went through learning course before.

Even the ones related to architecture?

In that case, maybe this page can give you a better insight.

Hope this helps

Abber, the most conventional approach is to expose web services in OS and to consume them in another app. But you must follow the architecture guidelines or it will be hard to maintain as it grows.

Is it needed?

If your company is planning to move everything to OS, plan the core modules in advance and slowly migrate there. Forget middleware because OS is the core of your software and you must act as it.

If OS is still an outsider, I'd do a middleware to send data to all platforms without disrupting a part of the business because of another. it is an extra layer of complexity, but probably worth the trouble.
