Multiple recordsets from a single stored procedure execution

Hi,

Does OutSystems support multiple recordsets from a single stored procedure execution?

Thanks

It might be possible (by defining an output structure made up of lists of the relevant attributes for each recordset, but there are probably easier ways to go about it.

Instead of trying to fit a technical solution into OutSystems, why not share what you're trying to accomplish, and perhaps some of the veterans here can suggest the best way to do that in the platform?

Andrew,

We have a stored procedure, it returns 4 recordsets to populate four drop-down boxes and we don't want to call that SP four times to get those records separately.

So that basically what we need.

Thanks

Is there something special that the SP is doing beyond simply querying the underlying data? Seems to me that by the time you get around to creating an output structure, you might do better by bringing the external tables in as an extension, and then you could simply leverage aggregates for the query to populate the drop-downs.
