Samsung Galaxy emulators?

Hi there,

When testing an application I notice there is only emulators for iPhone and PC, with only Galaxy Note 8 to choose for android. How would I go about getting more mobile emulators installed to test on, specifically Samsung Galaxy S8 to S10?

Hi Curtis,

Have you ever try Google Chrome emulator? Maybe it helps to your requirements.

  1. Go to your mobile application with Chrome without OutSystems emulator for example; https://platform/yourmobileapp
  2. Push F12 open developer panel
  3. Click mobile devices icon 

  4. Samsung Galaxy S8 not in the list. Add a new custom device.

  5. W 360 H 740 Ratio 4

    6. User agent string; Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 7.0; SAMSUNG SM-G950F Build/NRD90M) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) SamsungBrowser/5.2 Chrome/51.0.2704.106 Mobile Safari/537.36

Hi Curtis,

There's no specific "emulator" as far as I'm aware, it's just a setting to specify a screen resolution and a "skin" around the "screen" portion of the Previewer. As long as some other option has the screen resolution of the Galaxy S8~S10, you should be fine.

There's also no way of installing extra configurations there, apart from platform updates that might do it.

I will try the google addin for the interim. If it doesn't suffice I'll check out browserstack.
