How to see all data record in local storage on Mobile application ?

Hi all,

As mention above, I want to examine all record in the database local storage.

I need to see data to determine whether data is correct or not.

In Web app, I can preview easily in OutSystem but can't in Mobile app.

Is there any way to preview all data in local storage besides run simulator on web (examine local storage on web)?

Thank you,

Huy

Hi Huy,

I can suggest you can export mobile records to excel and send to your email.

1. Create a public action in your web-based project.
2. Create a structure the same as your local storage entity.
3. Add that structure (list type) as an input parameter to your action (step1)
4. Set that action to public
5. Call that action from your mobile module (device) and send all records to that server action.
6. In that server action, you can send an excel file to your email

Something like that;

Hope it helps.

With best regards,
F.Karatay

There is a no easy way to check local data like in the server since the local data isn located in the owner phone.

Like Ferhat Karatay sugested you can convert the data to excel and attach to email and send to yourself.

You can also create a modules to list all the data but list item is not very good at show large amount of data.

Solution

I just found out another way to see data.

When you are testing in chrome you can open console

And see the data here

i also have this extension:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/outsystems-local-storage/pjogpmgggjkbkloledijjnocphecfegc

Where you can pass the server name(in image it was the Todo_CD)

And then you can do queries.

I hope this helped.

Hi Carlos Gonçalves,

I have already known this way but when It loads a large amount of data, simulation seems to crash and freeze.

Besides export to excel that Ferhat Karatay suggested above, I also can use debug to see the output of aggregate that selects all data in the entity.

i didn't knwo you can see local data in debug. But even if you can normaly debug do not should all data  in order to increase performance. Only show the data needed.
