How useful is the Associate Developer certificate for finding a job?
Question

I have no experience and my current company is not using outsystems. Because the Professional or Expert developers need experience of using it for 6 or 12 months. So it appears I can only get the Associate Developer certificate.

I'm considering about the exam, but at first I want to know how useful is the Associate Developer certificate? So I wonder can I get a job to gain OutSystems experience just with this certificate? I have searched the job board, but it appears no companies explicitly hires someone with a Associate Developer certificate...

So if the associate developer certificate can not be used to enter a job to gain experience, how to become professional or expert developers? It's more like a chicken and egg question...

Hello,

Certificate is one of the  solid proof that you can show people what you are and to trust your skills

In outsystems there is a hierarchy for attaining a certification ,We all came studying our grades and getting promoted to the next grade and it works pretty much same here.

Does the certification lands you up in a job?Yes and NO
If you are confident enough to clear the interview then there is no scope of using your certificate.
unless people are hiring only certified developers.

Note:Unless you are associate developer and gain 6 months of project experienece you cannot attain professional or expert certifications

All the best,

Outsystems actually suggests you to complete certifications because only they can make it who had worked in outsystems. This is not like the other cirtificatations where you will get some reference. Here you need a solid idea. A certified developer is a proof of his knowledge. You need to complete the web associate developer certification first to go for the next level.
