Can I build application on cloud platform and deploy to on-premise platform
Question

Hi everyone,

Our company has purchased the cloud only version license.

But we have a potential client that need to host the application in their on-premise environment.

My question is can we build the application on cloud and simply plug it out and plug in to the on-premise environment without additional work?

thanks

best regards,

Hi,

To move OutSystems solution from one infrastructure (yours) to another (your client), you need to remove the IPP (intelectual property)

Hi,

Is possible to have an hybrid deployment having some environments on cloud and others on premise. You can start your research about it here.

Marcelo

Thanks Marcelo for the information.

however, I found from the diagram below

The "VPN Tunnel" is required when we talking about hybrid deployment. Unfortunately, my customer doesn't have VPN tunnel with OutSystems cloud. Will it still be possible to extract the solution I created in my cloud and import it into my customer's on-premise environment?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know how much it is feasible. But you can download application on local from cloud where you developed (Outsystem cloud). And then login into serice studio with your client's environment which have life time server and import application there and deploy.

Hi,

Sorry for commenting on an old thread, but I found it by accident and noticed that the discussion may be misleading to others who may find it as I did.

Jin Huang mentions a scenario where, apparently, somebody is developing applications on an OutSystems platform for the specific usage of another customer, on another platform. This scenario may lead to licensing and legal issues, so please check with your OutSystems sales team.

Best,

Joao
