Hi,

For authentication i am trying to integrate IDP connector to my mobile app, so i have tried IDP connector mobile sample, while running it on mobile it is giving "IDP Connector not configured" issue. I have installed IDP Connector on my environment but there is an issue in updating SAML-utils in it how to solve this.

Thanks

Harish

Hello Harish Yerra,

Could you please provide some more information?  Not sure what you mean by "there is an issue in updating SAML-utils"?

Regarding "IDP Connector not configured", you need to open the configuration page at https://<your environment>/IdP/

Hi Craig St.Jean,

I mean do i need to execute IDP application in order to run IDP mobile sample?

Regarding "IDP connector not configured" for this do i need to configure anything if yes what and where i need to configure?

Thanks

Harish

Hello Harish,

Yes, you need to configure the IdP to point to your identity provider.  As I mentioned, to access the configuration page you need to open https://<your environment>/IdP/ (so if your environment is the free personal environment, and if your environment name is harish, you would go to https://harish.outsystemscloud.com/IdP/)

After configuring those what i need to do still i am getting same issue IDP not configured.

I would have to think that some configuration is still missing if you are receiving that error.  Have you gone through the documentation here: https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/Development_FAQs/How_to_configure_OutSystems_to_use_identity_providers_using_SAML ?

yes i have gone through it but did not get where i need to get saml and where i need to upload it, as preethi said in another thread https://www.outsystems.com/forums/discussion/52165/usage-of-idp-mobile-in-detail/#Post195590 ., if do you have any idea about it let me know craig.

Harish,

SAML is a protocol.  The IdP component will generate a SAML request and send it to the configured IdP through the user's browser.  After the user logs in, the IdP will send a SAML response and send it to the IdP component through the user's browser.  After that, the IdP component will send the user to your application.

Are you asking about where to get the metadata for the IdP?  If so, you should be able to ask the person that administers your IdP.  If that's you, what IdP are you using?

Craig,

Here i am adding my iml can you check once what i am doing wrong.

Thanks

Harish

Harish,

I reviewed the OML, it appears to be the standard IdPMobileSample from the Forge, is it not?

Yes when i am executing that i am getting "IDP not configured issue". what is the cause.

You need to review your configuration of the IdP component.  Something there is wrong, as it has been telling you.  I cannot see your configuration, you could try posting screenshots or uploading the metadata that you used.

FYI there will be a delay before my next message

i have just logged-in and selected provider as Azure in https:/myserver/IDP/configuration, thats what i did . what else i need to do.

I'm not familiar with using AzureAD in the IdP component specifically, but you would do something like the following:

  1. Select Azure
  2. Customize any of the textbox fields as necessary
  3. Click Save
  4. Export SP metadata.xml and import it into your AzureAD configuration (in Azure)
  5. Switch to the 2nd tab (IdP Server Settings)
  6. Either input the values to match Azure, or import AzureAD's metadata (this is NOT the same metadata from step 4)
  7. Click Save
  8. Switch to the 3rd tab (SP Connector internal settings)
  9. Customize any fields if necessary
  10. Test it

yes Harish you need to follow the steps mentioned by Craig St.Jean, and after exporting the metadata.xml, you need to do the hand sake to the actual Server( means you have to upload this metadata.xml at your actual AD portal somewhere and then you should get a new XMl, which you need to import at you idp configuration 3rd tab)
