Can I use Web component in Mobile app

Hi I would like to ask how can I import the web component in to mobile app modules?

I am planning to use this https://www.outsystems.com/forge/component-overview/501/signature in my mobile app. I open the "Manage Dependency" to tick all element, but it cannot import the "jSignature".

I have try to use https://www.outsystems.com/forge/component-overview/1400/signature-pad this before. this will crash my iPad when user doing signature. so I want to use other component.

Please advice how to do it.

Hi,

https://www.outsystems.com/forge/component-overview/1400/signature-pad that you tried should work also on ipad. I have it working on an iphone.

That said I would expect that https://www.outsystems.com/forge/component-overview/501/signature should be able to be used in a mobile app with not to much effort. I think the biggest question is if your application should also work offline, you will have to replace the server action calls with a client solution.

I would rather focus on getting the problem fixed with signature pad component.

Daniel

Thank you for your reply. My problem is when I tick the element "UI Flow", then click "OK". I re-open "Manage Dependency", the "UI Flow" is un-tick. It seem to not allow me to import this element, so I cannot use this component...

Hi it should be possible:

1. in mobile app create new webblock

2. select in the widget tree of the webblock in the webapp all content

3. copy it over to the mobile webblock

One think to refactor is probably how javascript is integrated, as in Mobile this is done diffferently.

As I said it is possible with some refactoring, not with a simple copy/paste.

Again i suggest to find and fix the bug with using the mobile component.
