Question

I am doing this exercise. While creating the module for the UI, I do not have the choice 'responsive' as shown in the .pdf instructions. I have 'reactive web app' . The workspace that opens does not have the workflow referenced as "Since this is a Responsive module, the Interface elements area already includes some initial content, and you will see a starter Screen showing up in the workspace"

Studio version 11.6.23 Build 8620

Hi,

That print is for Responsive Web (traditional), not for reactive and it's from an service studio older version.

The guided path that you're following is for reactive?

Hi George,

1) Please confirm whether you selected the application type as "Reactive Web App"

Under Reactive Web Application below are the module types you can set for.

2) If you are using the Traditional Web application type then

Below is the list of available module type:

Hope this helps you.

Hi Benjith,

Thanks. App is reactive web app; Getting the same modules drop down as you have shown. Selected reactive web app module. On Creating the module, I get the screen below.

This is different from the expected screen below in the .pdf (downloaded from the training video) as shown below.

I guess that this training exercise is based on an old version of the service studio (Note that it is 'responsive' in the .pdf as opposed to reactive in the current version of the studio. However, I cannot figure out how to get a workflow screen as indicated on the .pdf file.

Regards

George

Hi Ricardo,

Thanks for the info. I created an application in traditional web too. There is no choice for a 'responsive' module under that too. I chose 'traditional Web' module; it gives me a different canvas than the work flow in the print.

So the issue, as you have hinted, is using the current version of service studio for an exercise meant for an older version.

Since I am a novice, I would like to follow  a step by step print to  get a hang; does not matter reactive or traditional web. I think pdf does not mention which version of service studio works with the instructions; neither is their a date of publication.

May I know if there is an updated exercise for the current version of service studio? Reactive or Traditional web.

Thanks

George

Thanks Benjith and Ricardo. I happened to start with an old training guide pdf. I have now come across this link. https://www.outsystems.com/learn/lesson/1909/demo-how-to-create-a-reactive-web-app/?LearningPathId=0

Going ahead with this.
