Database when deploying in Containers

Hi,

I am trying to understand how OutSystems is intended to work when there are multiple Deployment Zones and some with Container-based technology (let's say Docker Containers). The end-goal is to have highly scalable OutSystems applications running. I have an on-premise installation.

I have 2 questions:

Are all deployed copies of an Application expected to connect and use the same database?
I read about load balancing between Deployment Zones / Servers, but is the load balancing done by OutSystems or must we implement our own load balancing (network or software appliances)?

Any information that can help me understand how this is all supposed to work would be much appreciated!

Hi David,

Trying to answer your questions,

The answer to your first question is Yes , having multiple zones in outsystems is scaling up the front-ends and all the front-ends in different zones will be stick to the same platform database.
