Why is the correct answer the letter B and not the letter A?

This is more a Logic exercise,

Let me try with an example:

I'm Luís Santos Monteiro and I have both roles OMSDbAdmin and OSMDbUser.

Karina Ferreira, you only have the role OMSDbAdmin

Rui Barradas has the role OMSDbAdmin.

Nordin Ahdi has the role OSMDbUser.

Rajat Agrawal has no roles, but is logged in

a) Wrong Answer: Only Luís has both OMSDbAdmin and OSMDbUser role can access the screen
- Users with both roles can access, like Luís, but I am not the only one;
- Users with the role OMSDbAdmin, like Karina Ferreira and Rui Barradas or Users with the role OSMDbUser, like Nordin Ahdi can access the screen too.
- The Only, in the beginning of the sentence, excludes the other users (Karina, Rui and Nordin)
b) Correct Answer: Any user with OMSDbAdmin role. Karina, or Rui can access the screen.
- Other users with OSMDbUser role can access the screen, could be Nordin
- In the beginning of the sentence you have the Any, so it means you're not excluding other users.
- I understand that you're omitting the other users like Luís or Nordin, but you are not saying they can't access, you are just saying that Karina, or Rui can access the screen.
c) Wrong Answer: Any User with username and password.
- The Registered role is unchecked, so user need to have one of the roles (OMSDbAdmin or OSMDbUser). Rajat cannot access the screen because he doesn't have any role.
d) Wrong Answer: Only users with OMSDbUser role. Should read like this; Only Nordin can access the screen.
- Not only users with OSMDbUser role can access the screen, users with OMSDbAdmin can access the screen too.
- It's not true, not only Nordin, but Rui, Karina and Luís can access the screen.

I agree it is written in a misleading way. For A) to be right, should be "or".

A user that only has one of the Roles can also see it.

The answer given in A is almost a correct statement. Users with both roles can indeed have access to the screen. But not ONLY users who have both roles have access.

Also users with just one of the two roles have access to that screen.

So the only correct statement is answer B.

Makes sense?

That is, users do not need to have both functions, but one or the other.

That is, the following users can access the screen:

- Users with both OMSDbAdmin and OSMDbUser role

- Users with only OMSDbAdmin role

- Users with only OSMDbUser role

Therefore answer A is wrong since it states that ONLY users with both OMSDbAdmin and OSMDbUser role can access the screen.

Hi,

You need to select best option from 4. If you see Option A states only user with both roles but you can access even you have one roles out of both.

Option B - Any user can access which have OSMDBAdmin roles

Option C - Not correct

D states that only user with OSMDBUSERrole if they don't have this role they are not able to access......

If you compare all 4 then Option A and Option B may be considered but if you compare them then Option B is more close to Option A.

Hi Karina.

Let me try to clear that for you.

The screen has both OMSDbAdmin and OSMDbUser roles ticket. This means that:

A user with OMSDbAdmin role will have access to the screen
A user with OSMDbUser role will have access to the screen
A user with both OMSDbAdmin and OSMDbUser roles will have access to the screen

Option A states: only users with both OMSDbAdmin and OSMDbUser roles

This option is incorrect. A user with at least one of those roles will have access to the screen. He doesn't need to have both of them to access.

Option B states: any user with the OMSDbAdmin role

This option is correct. A user with the OMSDbAdmin role will have access to the screen.
