Hi Marcio.

There are 3 typical ways to learn and they all apply here.

You can start from going to school:

https://www.outsystems.com/learn/courses/44/master-class-on-javascript-and-jquery/

You can read the documentation:

https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/11/Extensibility_and_Integration/JavaScript/Extend_Your_Web_Application_Using_JavaScript/Define_and_Run_JavaScript_Code

Or learn by example. Hours ago did a small "JS on actions" example on this forum question:

https://www.outsystems.com/forums/discussion/60499/alternacao-de-senha-app-react/

Is this a good starting point?

Hi Marcio,

OutSystems have a course where you can learn how to use JavaScript in OutSystems.

https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/11/Extensibility_and_Integration/JavaScript/Extend_Your_Web_Application_Using_JavaScript/Define_and_Run_JavaScript_Code

And here is the masterclass: https://www.outsystems.com/learn/courses/44/master-class-on-javascript-and-jquery/

Follow the course that tells you how to best use JavaScript. It's simple.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Hi Marcio,

Your question is on one hand very generic, "how to use JavaScript in OutSystems", and you already got some replies that have links to post or training material that help you better understand how to use JavaScript in OutSystems.

Then you have a specific question ".How to set focus from an input to another when i insert data, for example just a number?  In a reactive web application".

My first thoughts are why would you want to do that? Normally you would layout the order of your input fields in a logical order. So that after the user enters a value and presses the Tab key the navigation will automatically go to the next input field. And with Shift-Tab to the previous input field.

But the answer to your question can be found in this YouTube video from OutPower which is all about setting the focus to a specific input field for reactive Web.

Regards,

Daniel

My question was, how to focus the next input in a container when i insert data? for example just a number. i want to insert a number in the input with a max length of 1, and then focus next input, to be fluid

Hi again,

That wasn't clear for me from your initial post.

You would something like this if I understand you correctly?
