What is the hardware and software requirement for taking a remote exam?

I want to take the Associate Web Developer (OutSystems 11) exam, but do it remotely from home. I understand this is possible, but what hardware and software do I need to do this? I'm guessing my Windows 10 desktop machine is ok for this, but that doesn't have a camera. Looking at the promotional video about "ProPorctor" on the Prometric site, it looks like it needs a camera to monitor the person taking the exam.

I don't want to go and pay for an exam slot, only to be subsequently told my environment is not suitable.

So is my Windows 10 desktop with no camera ok for me to take the exam remotely?

Hi,

Yes, you need camera and microphone. In the Proctor website you can test your machine and they tell you were your machine doesnt fill the requirements, like internet connection p. e.

Hi Robert,

Yes, I’m pretty sure a working camera is a requirement for taking an online exam since the Proctor needs to be able to see you and your surroundings where you are taking the exam.

Nordin

Hello Robert.

The ProctorU site is very specific. Expect the same from Prometric.

Thanks for that link. I had to set up an account, but then I could test my machine. I added my Android phone as the webcam using the DroidCam app (brilliant way of getting a webcam). The test of my machine gave me this which looks ok to me (except maybe the test of CPUs, but is that a problem?):

Hi Robert,

Better you have a chat with there rech support team atleast a day before your scheduled day.

It's not good to go with a risk.

I wouldn't worry about CPU/RAM, and everything else seems fine.

Would be nice if at least one large monitor is available. Not every person can read the tiny pixels. What about the certification centra in the Netherlands? What monitor sizes are used there?
