App course in OutSystems in Portuguese
Question

Is there a development course in OutSystems in Portuguese?

There are many people, like me, who are interested in OutSystems, but have difficulties with English.

Thank you.

You'll find a lot of different content since there are lots of things to explore.

Let me give you just an heads up. There are 3 types of applications that you can develop using OutSystems: Traditional Web Applications, Reactive Web Applications and Mobile Applications.

If I were you, I'd start for the Traditional and then evolve to Reactive Web / Mobile (since they are quite new). It is super important that you understand the differences between them.

I'll just leave you some links to introduce you to these types of applications (that you can translate to portuguese using your browser for a better understanding):

https://www.outsystems.com/blog/posts/all-you-need-to-know-about-reactive-web/

https://www.outsystems.com/blog/posts/reactive-web-applications/

https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/11/Getting_Started/Choose_the_Right_App_for_Your_Project

Mobile and Reactive Web Apps are quite similar in the way they operate. However, since mobile applications are designed to work in a mobile device, they allow you to implement some features that web apps don't (for example, the usage of the local storage of the device and installing plugins).

And responding to your question, of course, go ahead to mark the post as resolved.

I hope that you enjoy this adventure in the OutSystems world.

 Hi AndrĂ©,

No, you don't have material in Portuguese. But you can translate the documents with your browser, and the videos, you can put subtitles from youtube. I hope this helps you André.

Cheers

Today I am doing it like you said, but having material in the native language is very interesting, it also makes new programmers even more interested, and less difficult to learn the OutSystems platform.

Do you know if OutSystems would have anything against it, in case I want to produce and transmit materials in Portuguese aimed at Brazilians?

Hi André,

There are already videos with that purpose (the videos that Agno posted in his previous post). Please check this post:

I really believe that OutSystems wouldn't have anything against it. If you start to produce your own videos, it would be a way to help the growth of the community, which is always a great idea :)

Hope to hear more from that in the future.

I will be very happy to be able to contribute to the community.

I just made a simple App on OutSystems, and I saw a huge capacity on that platform. I want to be part of this community for sure.

Thank you.
