Any templates & patterns I can use for free?

New to OutSystems

Hello, I'm new to OutSystems, sorry if this question has already been asked, haven't found it... 

Do you guys have any built-in app templates and patterns I can use within a free plan to base my web app on? I'm almost sure I have seen this info somewhere but can't find it anywhere now :(

Hi,

Welcome to the OutSystems community.

If you haven't installed service studio, you should do that first. When you start creating a new app you can choose from existing app templates.

Your personal environment you get when you created your OutSystems account is free for use.

Thanks for your reply, got it! 

And some more questions I forgot to ask yesterday:

1. Does OutSystems allow me to export the app I create to use outside the platform?

2. Does it allow me to deploy & host the app on a custom domain?

You can take a look at different app templates and patterns - which are built-in in the IDE (Service Studio) - on the OutSystems UI website.

Regarding your follow up questions

  1. No not like that. If you have a paid infrastructure there is a detach process that you can use that gives you all the generated code. For more info see: https://success.outsystems.com/Support/Archive/11/The_Detach_Process

  2. You can change indeed the domain name. For more info see: https://success.outsystems.com/Support/Enterprise_Customers/Maintenance_and_Operations/Custom_DNS_names_for_OutSystems_Cloud_servers

Both options are only relevant if you have a paid OutSystems license, they do NOT apply for free personal edition of OutSytems.
