What if you don't have time or money for usability tests?

Are you one of those developers who is always complaining you don't have budget for usability tests?
One of the techniques I use is to do them right in the demo meeting at the end of the sprint.



Instead of showing the new features I've implemented, I ask someone (a key user or a project stakeholder) to try to use them in front of everyone.
It is very tough and embarrasing, everyone sees the obvious problems I have missed.
But in the end we'll all be more focused in doing better interfaces, and less in adding more and more stuff no one will ever be able to use.
