Sending email when someone registers

Hey! So, I am building an app which requires login but, to be safe, I want to have a verification of email. When I register, i want to send an email to the email that registered to verify it. I followed every step on: https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/11/Developing_an_Application/Implement_Application_Logic/Send_an_Email_From_a_Web_Application 

but it did not work. Please help

Do you have a SMTP Server configurated for your environment?

Can you please verify in Service Center Email Logs if you're emails are beeing sent? (Service Center -> Monitoring -> Tab Emails)


In order to send emails using OutSystems, you need to configure some Email configurations:

Service Center -> Administration -> Tab Email


After that, you should be able to send emails successfully.

The problem/error is that it is not sending the email. I putted the user that I want to email, my email (from) and cretead the email and it does not send

It s a good tutorial, but I was looking this one and I could realize that don't explain about the email configuration as Rui Barradas asked you previously. That configuration is quite necessary, without that no one email is gonna be work.

Hello,

For sending email, firstly you have to do email configuration of your environment.

Steps -

   1. Open Service center > Administration > Email

   2. In Email Configuration - Set Smtp server, Smtp Port, Username, Password and Default Sender Email and name which are mainly required for email sending.

   3. Save 

If you are facing any error after sending email or want to check your email is properly send to destination or not then you can check it in Email Log.

  Service Center > Monitoring > Emails -Email Log
