Overview of the Email capabilities of the OutSystems platform

From version 5.0 onwards the OutSystems platform has a built-in email designer and an email dispatching engine.
 To summarize, the following email features are now built-in the OutSystems platform:
  1. You can design your dynamic emails in a Rich Email email designer that guarantees compatibility with the most common emails clients;
  2. You can send emails from your actions flows;
  3. You can send emails from Business processes;
  4. You can monitor and control the email dispatching process in Service Center.

Note: In OutSystems versions previous to 5.0 the eMailServices component was used to send emails from OutSystems applications. Given that this capabilitiy is now built-in the platform, you should no longer use it for email dispatching. Of course, you can still use it for its remaining features (eg. Pop3 integration).
