[April] Updates on OutSystems Documentation and Online Training

Hi all!

We, your Technical Knowledge team at OutSystems, are always striving to improve our documentation and training to better serve you, our readers from the Community.

We regularly gather information from several sources on how each page is being used and its overall score, based on your invaluable "thumbs up/down" feedback. We also take note of the written feedback we get from the Community. After gathering this information, we perform our own investigation to determine what we can do to make these pages more useful. Our goal is to help you find the information you need quickly so you can get back to creating awesome apps.

Here’s what’s changed this month:

Online Training

  • We've created this amazing new guided path on Delivering OutSystems Projects. Please take a look and rate it and also give your feedback!

  • We've launched a brand new course: Modeling Business Processes. This is our most recent step towards filling the knowledge gap in the processes area. Stay tuned for more in the upcoming weeks!
  • Another course has been published, this time on Light BPT that covers processing large amounts of data with Light Processes.

  • We are continuing to expand the work of replacing our voice-overs with real voices. We've updated the Local Storage course with a new human voice-over.

Product Documentation Updates

Integrations Builder

Architecture Dashboard

  • We added information about the time filter to our tutorials, but we also completely revamped the tutorials themselves! Check out the improved tutorials for Architects, Technical Leads, and Developers!

Experience Builder

Workflow Builder

  • The new release of Workflow Builder enables you to design workflows with multiple paths executed in parallel. Here are the release notes.

  • Also, we added a new section in our docs that lets you know why and how to use this new capability!

Case Management framework

Documentation for enterprise ecosystems

  • We’ve released Monitoring OutSystems applications that covers the several monitoring options available, including enterprise grade extensibility options with tools like Firebase and Elastic.

If you have more feedback about the updated content, feel free to create a post in this thread, or leave feedback on the corresponding page, or you can send the feedback directly to us at knowledge@outsystems.com. We would love to hear from you! Stay tuned for more . . .
