Internet Explorer 8 gives error when downloading Excel file
Question
Hey everyone.
I have an eSpace where I export some information in an Excel file.
In Chrome (7.0.517.44) and (Firefox 4.0.1) everything goes nicely.
However, in Internet Explorer 8 (8.0.7600.16385CO) the download never starts and the browser just gives an error ("Internex explorer stopped working.", no useful information).
I've tried disabling add-ons but this behavior continues. However, if I enter Compatibility View mode, the download works perfectly.
Does anyone have any idea about what can be happening here?
I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise, by the way.
Thank you.

Hi Filipe,
That's really a vague error for one to try and troubleshoot. Does this happen on IE8 in other computers? What about your Windows Event Viewer, does it have any errors logged?
It might be some other software that is messing with IE8.
Check this topic, for instance, on Microsoft Technet
.
Let us know if this helps, or what more you find.
