Which technology is being used for mobile app development?

Hello all,
I have gone through a few of course to learn about OutSystems. I want to clear that OutSystems is using Cordova for mobile app development.
What I know Cordova/PhoneGap support is closed now.
Is there any update regarding this in OutSystems or this will continue to work using Cordova?

Thanks...

Hi Ankush,

OutSystems is still using Cordova and you can take a look over this posts:

https://www.outsystems.com/evaluation-guide/how-does-outsystems-support-mobile-development/

They have a more in-depth explanation of the mobile development in OutSystems.

Bogdan

There are many different technologies that can be used for mobile app development, but some of the most popular ones include:

  • Native development: This involves developing separate apps for each platform, such as Android and iOS. This gives you the most control over the user experience, but it can also be more time-consuming and expensive.
  • Cross-platform development: This involves using a framework or platform that allows you to develop a single app that can be deployed to multiple platforms. This can save time and money, but it may not give you the same level of control over the user experience as native development.
  • Hybrid development: This involves using a combination of native and web technologies to create an app that can be deployed to multiple platforms. This can be a good option if you want to get your app to market quickly and cheaply, but it may not be as performant as native or cross-platform development.

The best technology for you will depend on your specific needs and requirements. If you are unsure, it is best to consult with a mobile app development expert.
