[Simple Reports Reactive] Not able to trigger Button action using simple report component inside the layout

We are having a page where all the data is displayed in the simple reports A4 layout.
We also have a toggle button on which some of the data on this page changes. But this component is not doing any button click action.
Something we are missing? Kindly help.
We cannot remove the buttons from the page.
