Outsystems Latest Stable Version updated to Latest Beta version
Service Studio Version
11.14.16 (Build 60354)

I have recently tested out the Windows Beta Service Studio and it was amazing. However, after uninstalling the beta version and installing the Latest Stable Version, the Latest Stable Version of the service studio gets updated to the beta version on the next day. I have to uninstall the beta service studio and re-install the latest stable version almost everyday.

The automatic update service studio option is disabled when I install the Latest Stable Version ( 11.14.16 )

Solution

Raised a support case with Outsystems. Resolved with the following approach.

  1. Uninstall the Outsystems Service Studio.
  2. Install the Service Studio version ( 11.14.16 for my case )
  3. Local the files in the directory below:
    1. Directory
      C:\ProgramData\OutSystems\ServiceStudio 11.0
    2. Files
      1. Settings.xml
      2. Settings.xml_backup
  4. Ensure Service Studio is cloased. Then, replace the contents of both XML file with the contents below:
  5. Save each of the files.
  6. Launch Service Studio and verify the setting for auto-update is now marked False in the preferences Menu.

If this does not resolve your issue, raise a support request to Outsystems.
