Hello
I have question on 2 roles in Discovery. Architect and Configurator
I am wondering is there anyway Lifetime team structure can be applied when users access Discovery.
I do no want a users from one team to accidently change the layer of application / module.
Architect and Configurator seems not enough to assign users as they can access all applications and modules on Discovery tool.
Regards,
Anil
Hi,
This would be a great idea to implement on Discovery.
To work around this, I recommend that you implement a naming convention to every module, and then configure the sufixes in discovery and use the auto-classify feature. This won't prevent users from classify modules, but guarantees that at any time you can auto-classify and everything will be as you expect.
Best regards,
Diogo
Where can I find the differences between the 2 permission roles Architect and Configurator?
Thank you!
Hi @Carolina Bessa
Discovery uses applicational roles to secure its features. There are two roles:
Architect
Configurator
Access to every screen on Discovery tool is protected by “Architect” and “Configurator” roles. Having one of this roles is necessary for a given applicational user to access Discovery screens.
Additionally, “Configurator” role grants access to “Configuration” menu.
Hope this answers your question.
