connect to localhost from another computer
Question
Hi,
i have a problem not been able to connect to my host from an other compter in the same network
computer 1 (host): running win 7 ultimate which has the Agile outsystems 6.0.010 community edition
computer 2: a laptop running win 7 home premium which also has the Aglie outsystems 6.0.0.10 community edition
i have been trying to connect from my laptop to the host without any lyck =(. i have also tried to connect to the host with service studio but again without any luck.
what i want to do is to be able to access my application that i am creating on the host computer from any brower as long as the computer is connected to my local network. i would also like to be able to connect to the host with computer 2's service studio so that i can keep developing on my project if someone is using computer 1
thanks in advance for your help

Hi,
what is the url that you type to access from computer 1 to your host?
Cheers,

first i tried from the host to type the following
localhost/application_name
computer_name/application_name
computer_name/servicecenter
localhost/servicecenter
they all worked but when i tried this from my laptop i did type the following in add. in the browser
computer1_ip/application_name
computer1_name/application_name
computer1_ip/servicecenter
computer1_name/servicecenter
but with no luck, i not even sure it this is the right way to access the application or not, in service studio i selected "connect to an other server" and when the dialog opened i entered the same add as above and then the typed the login and passwork but again with no luck.

Anjan
p.s. i'm a complete newbe at agile platform

Hi,
lets first try to see if your laptop can contact your host.. Can you "ping" from your laptop your host?
Cheers,
RNA

and https://ip_number or https://computer_name ?
I'm just trying to see if you have any firewall or anti-virus blocking the access to the applications
