Solved
Broken references in systems modules and references after platform update
Question

Hello community

Following strictly the instruction for a platform upgrade to the newest OutSystems Platform Version we have broken references in System modules and extensions, e.g. the users module or the UsersLocalManagement extension. I followed the instruction of the Upgrade document.

Since I cannot open these modules in Service Studio I need a way to refresh their dependencies.

Is there a way to refresh the dependencies through ServiceCenter?

Solution

The last time a have a problem similiar to this, I was need to open a ticket and the support send to me a new version of the broken module (like your problem with ZIP), and just publish it directly in serviceCenter and after it do the "solution republish" that Ana said.

Hello Dmitri,

It is possible via ServiceCenter, create a solution with all the modules. Check the box "Publish with full compilations" on the bottom and then the Publish button of the Current Running Version to update all the references of all the modules.

References that result in broken modules will be visible because they show up with a red cross. These modules need to be fixed by hand.

You might also check the following documentation page:

Hello Ana

Thank you for your response.

As mentioned before, I have followed strictly the instruction for the upgrade documentation and used the "Publish all Solution" like mentioned in the documentation. My question refers exactly to what you say "These modules need to be fixed by hand".

How can I fix system modules and extensions by hand since it is not possible to open them in Service Studio?

Best regards
Dimitri

Hello matheusfol

For example the DeviceDatabase. It said that I should open the Module and refresh its references and then publish it. For a module we have built, no problem.
But as far as I know, there is no way to open a Systems module created by OutSystems.
