Can we use visual studio 2022 with Integration Studio?

Hi All,

Just wanted to know if we have any updated documentation on Outsystems Community which is highlighting the use of Visual Studio compatibility with Integration Studio. Also, wanted to know what is more preferable Visual Studio 2022 or 2019?

I searched on documentation and see training, but didn't get any reference which is highlighting the use of 2022 visual studio.

Hi @Raj Sharma

Feel free to use any dotnet IDE you prefer. It seems that OutSystems uses a command to open the solution or folder  Personally, I have been using VS2022 since its release and have not encountered any problems.

See this documentation for setup

@Damian Fonville Thanks for your quick reply. Your answer is correct that we can use the Visual studio 2022, but I was also looking for the documentation on Outsystems side specific to the use of compatible versions of Visual studio and .Net Framework.

@Daniel Kuhlmann How we can have this in reference document.

I am using community edition and it is not working fine for me.

I don't think that there is a specific reference document for a particular version of Visual Studio to use, as you can choose to set up any IDE you prefer, such as Visual Studio Code or JetBrains Rider. However, I do agree with you that the version of the dotnet framework being used should be specified somewhere to ensure compatibility.

A post from 10 years ago is not relevant when someone asks if VS2022 is supported as IDE for Integration studio

I agree with you @Daniel Kuhlmann, and @Siddharth Vyas I have already checked this link before submitting my query, Today even we can't see the java option in Integration Studio
