You could also choose to keep the current server A as the Deployment Controller server and add an additional front end (server B) to your farm.

Usually you move the Deployment Controller role to another server in a failover scenario or when you want to have a dedicated Deployment Controller server. 

In any case, in order to move the DC role to a different FE you must follow the procedure describe here:

As for migrating the Database to a separate server, you can follow the procedure described here:
