Outsystems license
Application Type
Traditional Web
Platform Version
11.21.0 (Build 39357)

Hi Team,

Like to know if the Outsystems is running on Premise, the license is based on only environment or any introduction of additional front end server will require additional license/pricing?

I have to add additional servers to the environment so wanted to know if we need approval from Outsystems for license or it will cost us additional pricing?

Thanks and Regards,

Ramya

Hi,

Adding additional front end servers doesn't impact a cloud license nor a on-premise license.

Vertically scaling the class of your front end servers or database server also doesn't impact your license.

And finally, scaling your database server storage capacity also doesn't impact your license.

That is fair,  but also I don't know all answers. I pick those questions that I think I can help and reply. No need to jump on a topic I have no knowledge about, unless I see that the original poster clearly leaves out details for anybody to reply. In that cae I would ask for more details. That is not the case with this post.

When I started I also knew little to nothing of OutSystems, and I to started to try and help people, making their problem mine, then try to fix it. A win win strategy I helped someone and I learned something (even if I could not find a solution).

So I like your approach justed it myself. Just dive into matters before you ask questions to ensure these are the right questions to ask.

Hi Ramya,

I do not have proper answer but I think you can contact OutSystem sales from here or create a support ticket from here.

Thanks

Pankaj

Can you please elaborate about additional servers. Are you planning for vertical or horizontal scaling?

An extra server means horizontal scaling

Thanks for the clarification. I asked two questions to get more details. Anyways you already have answered it. And thanks for the downvote.

Yes you asked two questions but both didn't make sense. The question was clear with all details to answer it if one either knows the answer or search for it.

Don't asume that I down voted you ;)

Your knowledge about OutSystems is far superior than me so you know things. I am a newbie so I have to ask and search for it. :)
