UI Text blurry, only gets sharp when hovering mouse onto the specific text
Service Studio Version
11.54.9 (Build 62390)

Hi developers and experts!

The problem is, in my OutSystems, all of the text in the UI get blurry, and the text got sharp when I hover my mouse on the certain text. However, when I hover the cursor away from the text, it gets blurry back a couple of seconds later.

This problem also occurs in Visual Studio, but I happened to fix it within the GPU acceleration settings in the program (it was months ago, i dont remember, but I think I did that), but I do not find such settings in OutSystems. I am new to OutSystems for a week now at my new job and I am still in training progress, but this problem annoys me so much.

I have tried to find a few solutions on Google, turn on ClearText, checked and unchecked DPI settings in the OutSystems compatibility properties and turn off FXAA in Nvidia Control Panel, but they seem to be not working.

From what I understand, this happens because the computer system wants to preserve power. Low resolution = more performance. But I might be wrong.

Here is my PC specifications:
AMD Ryzen 5 3500X
16GB of RAM
RTX3060
Dual monitor 1920x1080 and 1366x768 (this problem happens on both monitors)

Looking forward for solutions. Thank you!!

Solution

Issue has been solved. It was a GPU Driver issue. The blurry text are not there anymore as I updated my Nvidia GPU driver to 532.03.

Hi Asyraf,

This is very odd, I've never seen something like this. Note the images are all from Service Studio, not from "OutSystems", it's good to use the right terminology. As you said, there's other programs that suffer from this, so it's likely some system setting on your computer. Just by the looks of it, I'd say the computer tries to display a larger resolution than your display actually has, and is scaling down, which results in the fuzzyness. I'd check your Windows display settings and see if you can find something to that effect, like scaling (ideally 100%), screen resolution (ideally matching the physical resolution), etc.

Hi Kilian, thanks for the clarification for the terminology.

I have checked the resolution settings and it was already at 100% on my both monitors. Do you think there might be other settings that I could check?

Could be anything. Resolution, GPU settings, and so on.

Hello, i had this issue and came here to post solution finded.

My Nvidia GPU has config option to improve sharpness in games, but for some reason this options turned on causes this blurry problem.

So, I turned this option off and outsystems works normally again.
