Hi All,
We are currently strategizing on how we can provide to our client the application they need. We are wondering if we can but Outsystems for out Company , then develop the clients application. Then provide them a SaaS , they will just use the application we built. Is this a possible scenario?
This is one example of a company that does that: https://www.outsystems.com/case-studies/mobile-ready-sales-force-application/
Good luck!
Hi @Jared.Amul
This is a valid scenario yes, you can build applications inside your own environment for other clients and provide them as SaaS. Do note however that you will have to manage the apps, the users, the data, and platform maintenance on your side.
You might also want to consider building apps as multi-tenant in that case.
Best regards
Hi @Abed Al Banna ,
Thank you for your prompt answer.
So this will not violate the Outsystems EULA ?
Not at all! This scenario is adopted by many companies out there, providing clients with OutSystems SaaS apps.
Thanks Abed!
Will talk to the team for this strategy.
Hello Jared,
Most probably this will affect your license commercially but will not violate it.
Hi Jared,
Be aware to understand the license cost model of OutSystems. Each users of your customers will count against the license. The price per user will only be cheap only users after the first 200k registered active users. The cost for the first 200k users will be steep, make sure your business case takes this in consideration. Contact your OutSystems sales representive for more details about a OutSystems license for your business case.
Regards,
Daniel
