Hi, my mobile app was rejected by Google due to the following:


Issue details

We found an issue in the following area(s):

  • SPLIT_BUNDLE 1: Policy Declaration - Data Safety Section: Device Or Other IDs Data Type - Device Or Other IDs (some common examples may include Advertising ID, Android ID, IMEI, BSSID, MAC address)


I do not understand this since my app does not gather anything like this. I have nothing like Advertising Id's, Android Id's, IMEI, BSSID or anything. It is a very simple app that only scans barcodes and returns a result. 


I made sure to remove all unused dependencies - even though I never even added anything like this.


Any ideas on why Google found this and how it should be corrected?

Hello Riaan,

This problem seems to be from Googles play store end. You can go to Google play console and answer some Data safety questions as yes. 

This is a  very common problem and is already solved in a stackoverflow question. I have provided the link to the question bellow. Please refer to it.
