Hi Miguel, how are you?
While using this plugin, we found that, for Android, a barcode like the following one is not being scanned, whilst for iOS it scans without any problem.
I know this might sound like an odd requirement but indeed, this is a valid use case. Do you know if this is a limitation of the plugin or a limitation of the Operating System itself?
PS - Upside down is also a requirement but, fortunately, it works for both Android and iOS. I tested with a random barcode scanner from Google Play and it scans perfectly a vertical barcode.
Cheers,
Pedro Domingues
It seems we dont have limitation with Operating System.
You can try this plugin.

Hi Aravind,
Thanks for your suggestion but we have our solution already built and customized to use this plugin.
Nevertheless, i will take in consideration the plugion you mentioned.
Thank you.
Did you tested what you stated before?
I tested that plugin, on my sandbox, and it doesn't work either. With my phone in Portrait mode, i cannot scan a vertical barcode.
No @Pedro Domingues , I haven't tested it.
So what's the point of suggesting something without even testing?
Hi @Pedro Domingues,
That seems in fact to be a possible limitation in the library itself, or at least it might out of capabilities to overcome it. Nonetheless, I'm doing some trial and error to see if I get anywhere. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks a lot Miguel.
I was looking into the Android source code and i couldn't find any option\setup\config that refers to the scanning direction.
I haven't checked the iOS code for that. Probably there's a clue on iOS source code since it works on iOS devices.
Thanks a lot for your collaboration.
