use SSL domain in outsystems cloud
Question

Hello,

I was following the steps on the following guide:

https://success.outsystems.com/documentation/11/setup_and_maintain_your_outsystems_infrastructure/setting_up_outsystems/use_your_ssl_domain_in_outsystems_cloud/

And have a few questions regarding the procedure to use a custom SSL certificate on our environments.

On the following screen, if I add a new Domain Certificate will the current one disappear, meaning I can only have one certificate installed?

If not, is it possible to have two certificates active at the same time?  E.g.: having different applications working with different certificates for different domains on the same environment?

Best regards!

Hi Diogo,

I believe you can only have 1 active cert at a time.

If you need to have extra domains, add them as Subject Alternate Names

Best regards,

Ok,

But I have yet one doubt:

If I upload one new certificate, the original outsystems certificate will still be available in the dropdown? In other words, if my new certificate doesn't work, can I rollback to the outsystems certificate and keep everything working?

Thanks!

Hi Diogo,

I'd suggest you contact OutSystems Support, they are better suited to answer these questions than us community members.

Once the new certificate is generated, the existing certificate will be expired in 72 hours. So although the old certificates may be available in the dropdown, technically they will get expired soon. Roll-back is not really an option in this case.

As Killan mentioned, if you're not sure, I suggest you discuss it with your IT department or whoever looks after SSL cert and OutSystems Support.
