I recently attempted to take an OutSystems exam on my new HP Envy. Prometrics Pro-Proctor was unable to secure my PC, despite having followed all their instructions. My PC passed all system checks but got stuck on the "Please wait while your device is secured for the exam" screen. Four hours of ProMetrics tech support could not resolve the issue.
After consulting with our own technical team, I started systematically investigating and killing background processes and was eventually able to pinpoint the source of the issue:
HP Omen Gaming Hub came pre-installed on my HP PC and was running in the background. Uninstalling HP Omen Gaming Hub solved the Pro-Proctor issue.
Word of advice: Install and run Pro-Proctor to test that all is working well prior to your exam date. Do not rely on the system checks only but be sure to take the demo exam even if you have done many exams before!
