Hi
I am planning to write an operational design document using OutSystemCloud.
Could you please tell me about the following?
1.I heard that by issuing an IAM user for Cloud Watch verification, we can check the metrics of the various servers (FE server, LifeTime server, DB server), but what metrics can we check?
2. I have heard that OutSystem will send us an email notification if there is a problem with the above metrics, but at what threshold will we be notified?
3. If we receive a notification for the FE server or DB server, will we be able to scale up or add servers automatically (I've heard that the DB server is a separate option)? Is it request based?
Hi @Hiroshi Mitsuhashi,
I do not have answers to everything, but when I did request access I did get the following answer. To this effect, and in order to summarize what actions are currently available, a CloudWatch user can:
As for active monitoring of the infrastructure, please note that OutSystems monitors customer cloud infrastructures as explained in this public article and as you can see in the OutSystems Cloud Shared Responsibility Model, this means that, if a certain threshold is reached, our Cloud teams will be alerted to it and we will proactively take action upon it to prevent/resolve an issue.
I hope this helps you :-)
Best regards,
Bart
