I'm currently working on an ODC project that has the ability to send out daily update mails. However I have run into a weird problem where half of the time, the theme doesn't apply to the mails. For example, the mail sent last friday did not have the theme applied correctly, but the one on saturday did, then the one on sunday didn't have the theme applied again, the one on monday did, and todays email didn't have the theme again.
It seems to be a weird pattern where it doesn't apply the theme to the mail every other day.
When I send out the mail manually, the theme always seems to apply, when I run the timer manually, the theme also always applies correctly. I even changed to schedule to send out an email every 5 minutes, and again, they all have the theme.
I already tried changing the scheduled time on the emails (Previously sent out at 5AM, now at 4AM), which did help a little bit, as now the emails have the theme applied every other day, where as before they never had the theme applied (I made no other changed besides changing the scheduled time).
I will try another scheduled time to see if they might fix the issue, but it just seems like a really odd bug if that's really the case.
Has anyone else ever ran into a similar issue? Any reason why this could be happening? This is happening on ODC.
I also noticed this issue. Better to open a support ticket!
I've noticed the timer creates errors on the HTTP POST and HTTP GET attempts.
Also seems like a similar error is occurring in the OutSystems Sample Data application. (Which is a default application) So seems likely it might be an issue in ODC. I'll make a support ticket.
I reported this to OutSystems, it is passed on to the correct product team.
Hi Kevin,
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We are currently working on adjusting the email-sending mechanism to improve the process for loading CSS resources (e.g., themes). Our goal is to minimize occurrences of them not being available when the email is sent. We anticipate releasing the solution within the current month.
Kind Regards,
