Necessity regarding ODC version upgrades

Hello team

I would like to know about the necessity to upgrade regarding ODC product releases and cumulative patches.

Regarding O11, l earned about the necessity for version upgrades regarding product releases and cumulative patches, as described in the following document.

I would like to know the same thing about ODC, but I could not find any documents that explains it.

The main things I would like to know are

・Is it necessary to upgrade ODC product releases and cumulative patches?

・If so, is it done by the end user or by outsystems?

・Is there any downtime?

If there is a document or description that explains the above, could you please let me know? If not, could you please answer here?

Hi Kazuna,

ODC is completely different in this aspect compared to O11.

ODC is an 'evergreen' product that OutSystems will always keep up-to-date, automatically for all customers. You don't need to manually request an upgrade and follow through all steps as described in the document link you shared.

Instead ODC is upgraded constantly, you can see all updates on the ODC Studio and ODC Portal on this page: https://success.outsystems.com/support/release_notes/ under chapter 'OutSystems Developer Cloud releases'

Also the vulnerability patches are a fully automated process, and you can track them on the security tab in the ODC Portal.

Let me check with OutSystems where all of this is clearly documented.

As to downtime nothing is clearly documented except here:

it states the guaranteed uptime of O11 and ODC based on the edition and support contract a customer has:
